THREE SISTERS (2011) This was the first poster I designed for the Yale Repertory 2011-12 Season. I wanted to give this new version of the Chekhov classic, by the great Sarah Ruhl, a startlingly fresh graphic look. I also thought it important that Yale Rep start introducing bold color into its signage. Among all the muted browns (the university buildings), the greens (in spring), and snow whites (in winter), a bright color pallette was definitely in order! I presented a variety of designs but the protective crows were a clear favorite. Working with James Bundy, Anne Trites, Steven Padla, Daniel Cress and the entire Yale group on this season continues to be a special joy.
