When producer Manny Azenberg recast his smash hit production of Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues (poster designed by Joe Bahl, photo by Martha Swope), he decided he didn’t want a replacement photograph of his new cast. He felt that every time the actors changed, he’d feel compelled to re-shoot. Manny asked if the men in our office could fill the uniforms, thereby assuring himself an image that would never have to change. As it turned out, I fit into Matt Mulhern’s army costume and ended up appearing on 3-sheet posters in Shubert Alley and numerous station stops along the LIRR!
